As a keen cook i thought this game would be brilliant for help in the kitchen and fantastic new recipes to try out. I must admit i was fairly impressed by this product and there wasnt many problems which i could pick out, there are plenty of recipes and clear instructions of how to cook your meal.
My Cooking Coach is great addition for any keen cook who has a Nintendo DS, and works just like a video game (even though it is more like a computer program). Once switched on you can set up your own profile and tell the computer what are your favourite ingredients, which will then give you many different recipes for you to cook, recommended to your taste. Obviously you can see all the recipes that the program has to offer and you can change what your favourite foods are along the way if needed.
My Cooking Coach also has a shopping list feature and a game feature where you can practice your cooking method for the recipe which you want to use, which is pretty pointless in my opinion becuase it doesnt help you very much, but im sure other people could find it useful.
One of the great things about my cooking coach is that it has built in timers on its recipes, and you can have the Nintendo DS literally tell you what to do. For example if your boiling your potatoes before oven baking them, you touch your timer, and when its time to take them out the computer will tell you what to do next. The cooking coach is also voice activated, so if your hands are messy (like most cooks hands are) you can simply say "next" instead of pressing the next button on the Nintendo's touch screen!
Overall i think that My Cooking Coach is a great product for people who like to experiment in the kitchen, but it could have swapped the simulation feature for more recipes, as there could be more.
