Improves everything from nanostray 1 for the same low price (Nanostray 2 (DS))

Advantages: clear story, better weapon system, some sidescroller elements, great soundtrack

Disadvantages: harder dificulty might get frustrating.

Nanostray 2 is the sequel to Nanostray (okay that is probably pretty obvious) it improves heavily on the already great game of nanostray whit improvements to graphics and weapon system all around while keeping the low price and again a great soundtrack.

The story of nanostray 2 is much more clear than that of nanostray, your frigate drops out of hyperspace and learns of the nanostray virus, unable to contact anything or anyone in the galaxy, if they can find patient zero, the origin of the nanostray virus, they might be able to devise a cure to it, so you are sent out to the last known location of the virus, the game once again lets you go trough several systems in search for samples and logs which you apparently get by surviving a level, as you play trough levels the engineers aboard the frigate are not sitting around as more and more weapons like the shockmine launcher become available.

A major difference between nanostray 2 and 1 is that instead of just the overhead perspective there are also levels where you're playing a side scroller.

Another is the weapon system which has been totally reworked, where in nanostray you had 5 weapons readily available whit a special fire button for a special attack whit any of the weapons in Nanostray 2 you can configure 2 drones into three positions, these drones don't start whit you one the level but are acquired by destroying a full wave of enemies, apart from the blaster and drones you also get to pick a special weapon which takes the special fire system of nanostray and adapts it, all attacks whit this weapon require energy and you can refill this by destroying waves of enemies.

Another prominent thing is that the difficulty seems way harder on nanostray 2 which can get frustrating.

Overall this game got rid of the flaws of nanostray and improved many of its features, for the same low price I definately

Summary: if you like games like this this is definatly a must have.
