      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Another rushed attempt by EA. Ruining the NFS franchise.

Need for Speed games have been going downhill for a long time.

This one is another that can be added to the list. It had potential but it just looks like the developers are trying to concentrate on cars going fast and fancy graphics (which they fail at) and not worry much about other important aspects like the story.

It is good that you can customise your car to how you want it and it does make a difference when driving, but without much of a plot it just feels like you are racing for no given reason.

Also, what is it with these racing games and bouncing off of walls and still being able to drive at high speeds? It just isn't real and too arcadey. There is no real skill needed so it feels like playing is a complete waste of time.

Instead of rushing out two or three NFS games a year EA should really concentrate on producing a quality game. BUT that will never happen because the masses are happy with this rubbish.

Don't waste your time or money!

SEEN IT ALL BEFORE,NOTHING TO SEE HERE,MOVE ALONG!!!

The latest offering from the "Need for speed" franchise comes to the DS and as with most racers on this platform it just does not really work.

Yes,it has some great cars and the actual racing is not that bad but with a very repetitive range of courses coupled with what i like to call "Any city graphics" in other words they all look the same they real have no character at all.

It is just a matter of pressing the A button to accelerate and away you go,these cars take a hell of a lot of damage before they are destroyed,B button to brake,X to turbo boost.

Playing in story mode you are as the title suggests undercover, you start off as a street racer and become involved with crews by invitation as you progress, all these follow the same format ,for example pick up car and take it to safe house, point to point, circuit race, highway battle and then the switch around where you catch the crooks.

I am currently on chapter 19 having completed 51 races,my most recent car is a Porsche Carrera GT whose performance is only slightly different from other cars i own a bit faster but really one top end car is the same as another in this game, and am only trying to complete to see how many events there actually are!!

You can customise the cars and make them lurid colours and add so called performance kits but none of this is very realistic, blasting round the streets is fun for a bit but becomes lacklustre and boring after a couple of hours.

Would not really recommend this game,as has nothing new to offer for racing fans on the DS.

Two stars only for the variety of cars.

You never thought it would turn out like this an all-out chase where you're the hunted. And the hunter. The man you're after is a maniac behind the wheel, and he's driving like his life depends on escape, which maybe it does. He's the one with all the answers you need, you will track him down. Needless to say, that fleet of police cruisers in your rearview mirror won't make things any easier.
