Need for Speed games have been going downhill for a long time. This one is another that can be added to the list. It had potential but it just looks like the developers are trying to concentrate on cars going fast and fancy graphics (which they fail at) and not worry much about other important aspects like the story. It is good that you can customise your car to how you want it and it does make a difference when driving, but without much of a plot it just feels like you are racing for no given reason. Also, what is it with these racing games and bouncing off of walls and still being able to drive at high speeds? It just isn't real and too ... Read the complete review

The latest offering from the "Need for speed" franchise comes to the DS and as with most racers on this platform it just does not really work. Yes,it has some great cars and the actual racing is not that bad but with a very repetitive range of courses coupled with what i like to call "Any city graphics" in other words they all look the same they real have no character at all. It is just a matter of pressing the A button to accelerate and away you go,these cars take a hell of a lot of damage before they are destroyed,B button to brake,X to turbo boost.
