Advantages: value for money, orgional

Disadvantages: having to collect gold coins before ya can save it

When I saw this game advertised I just had to have it. I am a huge Super Mario fan and this game didnt disappoint my expectations either. It really takes me back to my childhood when I used to play it on the Ninentdo 64 so when I got it for the DS I felt like I was really young again.

This is a little different to the origional game just a bit more up to date features such as mini games and theres a feature so you can play against friends.

There are still all the different worlds and levels within those worlds. In each level you get timed and you have to collect gold coins if you get 100 coins you still get your extra life as you did on the origional Mario. However in this version you also have to collect larger star gold coins which are hidden within each level and there are three of these larger star coins to collect within each level.

The larger star coins are used to open paths which would not normally be blocked that lead to the little mushroom things that hold extra lives for you to collect. You have to collect 5 gold star coins before you can unblock a path and although I really enjoy playng this game it annoys because you can only actually save the game once you have unblocked one of these which can be a little difficult if you are pushed for time.

Overall this game is really fun for all, everyone can play it and I bet many of the older generations would have played the orgional versions and they would feel completley at ease with this game. This game would also suit younger people as it is so much fun and it would teach them that you dont need to have a game about violence for it to be good quality.
I also found his game is very good value for money because you can take your time over playing this game and therefore it lasts longer.

Summary: very good quality and fun for all
