Advantages: Fun, hard which makes the game good, secret things and hints in the game itself!

Disadvantages: Some levels really are annoying

Despite the fact of a partly new title for the game, New Super Mario Bros. is exactly what the title says, its a new super Mario Bros. game that pulls the trigger of the series classic 2-D, side-scrolling game play with out feeling forced or like a needless trip through the game.

As of the game it self, the characters in it and the memories are the same, but in total the game is fairly new! You hardly see 2D games these days, and its even rarer when the game is made exactly perfect!

Storyline is sort of like this, Bowser Jr. kidnaps princess peach, and so Mario runs after her, falling in his way are deadly enemy's from goombas trying to attack Mario, and so he will need to jump on their heads just like that to kill them.

There is in total 8 different Mario worlds in the game from sandy ones to grassy ones, to icy ones. Two or so are hidden in which in 1 level you will need to find a secret exit, usually facing some sort of boss to complete the bonus of unlocking the hidden worlds.

As in every Mario game, the main game play is usually the same from going underground by climbing in green and red and yellow pipes, going in to the sea in underwater adventures, even going up high in the clouds, and these type of levels make the whole Mario situation so unique.

I really should not be saying this but if you insist I will. As you may know you can only play as Mario in the game, well that's what you think. On the box you will see Luigi there as well. And so I did some research and found out that once you have completed the game, go and save it, then go back to the title menu and select the game save and hold down both L and R buttons, then press A. You can then play as Luigi. Its not really a cheat as Luigi is on the front cover of the box, so this is probably a guide for you!

The controls are very simple as you can only go from left to right, and so is not at all hard. Simply left on the control pad to go left and right on the control pad to go right. To jump its A or X, although you can change this in the options. B or Y is to dash/run fast, although you can change this in the options as well! Jumping of enemy's also improves how high your jump is.

There are several power ups in which to save the princess, including super mushroom which makes him like fifth-ruple in size (you can see a tad of him on the left side of the front cover on the box), Fire flower and and the favourite star man each giving Mario so much unique abilities to use!

The music on the levels are much definitely around the same as well as the sound affects by the game over... Usually everything else is much like remixed tunes to make the game sound a bit better.

Its time to finish of my review here. I am just trying to say some last words on the game. It really is challenging and fun, and competitive, although some levels can be boring, as well as boringly hard! But overall its a well must get game for all Mario fans and DS owners!
