... so you can survive and thrive on the island before help comes. ~Game~ Like every Sim game, you have to make a Sim at the beginning by choosing hair, skin tone, gender and clothes. You are then on a little section of the island and you will see a few palm fronds, sticks and a slice of melon. The game will tell you what to do when you first are on the island. It will tell you to eat the melon to filly yourself up, then build a little shelter with the palm fronds and a long pole. You will also need to light a fire ...more

Sims 2: Castaway (Nintendo DS) The Sims 2: Castaway is an adventure game designed for those aged 12 years and above. There are many games in the "Sims" range, for example My Sims, all of which seem to be popular. The idea of this particular game is that you control a "Sim" (human being) who is stranded on an Island. You need to keep your Sim alive by ensuring they eat enough during the day, get enough rest and sleep, socialise with other people you find on the Island, keep your comfort level high, ensure your hygiene is kept to a good standard, as well as making your Sim go to the toilet often too. You will incur consequences if ...  Read the complete review

I borrowed this game off a friend and I was very reluctant to give it back as it was such a good game! ~Packaging and Appearance~ On the front of the box is a picture of the Sims on a tropical island. The people pictured on the front are not in the game, but they are probably showing what you can make your Sim look like. ~Plot~ Your Sim was sailing on ship when there was a terrible storm and your Sim got thrown into the sea and washed onto an island! It's your job to explore the island to find tools, food and maybe a few other people so you can survive and thrive on the island before help comes. ~Game~ Like every Sim ...  Read the complete review

The Sims 2: Castaway is a game that takes the main idea of the Sims games (controlling a character & satisfying their needs) & successfully combines it with a specific storyline to follow & more concrete goals to achieve. Like in all Sims games, you start off by creating a character. You choose their gender, skin & hair colour, hairstyle & clothes, & give your Sim a name. Obviously there aren't as many customisation options at this point as in the main Sims games available for the PC, but there are still plenty of different choices to allow you to create a unique character, & the animations are more realistic than I'd ...  Read the complete review

I've never played a Sims game before, shocking as that is, but my friends have been addicted to the Sims for PC. I saw this game online and read mixed reviews about it, some said it's the best Sims game and is really addictive, others said it's boring and drags on. I saw the game on Amazon for Ł12.50, the lowest price on there at the moment is Ł14.50 though, and so decided to buy it. I won't give away much of the game as I found that exploring new places and finding new things was the most exciting part of the game. As this review is pretty lengthy I've written a short overview of the game for those of you wanting to know just the ...  Read the complete review

I have always been a huge fan of the Sims games but they eat up so much of my time when I received Sims 2 castaway for Christmas I didn't know whether to be happy or not. I have had this game two days now and I am not sure how long this game will keep me busy for though as I have completed 7 % and only really played it for a couple of hours. I am hoping that once you have completed it there is still plenty to do just living as a sim. The Sims is a game which involves creating a person you can choose there sex, clothes, skin colour, shoes, hat etc. I do not enjoy that bit but my 6-year-old daughter loves designing people. Once your ...  Read the complete review
