Advantages: Lots of Plot.

Disadvantages: Slow going with little control.

At first I didn't like the look of this game as it's not like other Sims games I had played. You only get to play as yourself; you can't create characters like in the previous games.
You are tasked with becoming the manager for the town's hotel and have to build up the rooms as you make money. Unfortunately I saved up my money and built all my rooms at once, meaning I was ahead of the game for most of it as the story moves really slowly. I did however enjoy it once I had got the hang of how to round up troublemakers and get rid of the alien invasions.
What I would advise though is to go at the game pace rather than rushing forward as it doesn't keep up with you and can get a bit boring.
It did take a while to complete because you have to collect skills points and these only appear once a day so it can be days before you can move onto the next bit of the story. That can be annoying if you are impatient like I am.

Summary: Good but could be much better.
