Advantages: entertaining, random, fun

Disadvantages: short lived and repetetive

I've played the Sims on the PC, so when i first bought this game (£20) , i expected it to be similar, as in your build a family, get a job, have kids and die LOL. However i was a little disappointed that the game was completelet different to the PC game, although i still enjoyed the sims on the DS very much!

In the game, you are the manager of a hotel in Strangetown, you get to build up the buisness by meeting customers needs and fufilling tasks throughout the game. These tasks could be anything really, such as finding an object around the town, or searching for a particular person. As you complete tasks, you can earn money in order to further improve your hotel.

You get to walk around the entire town in the game and explore different building such as the pub, bank and town shop. Whilst walking about you get to chat to different character, which give you game tips or ask for you do find something for them.

Randomly thoughout the game aliens appear and you get to Zap them with water from your handy water pistol to stop them taking over the town! Pretty random but i found this exciting as you never really knew when they would appear!

Another part to the game is to explore the desert for objects using your metal detector. I personal found this part repetetive and infuriating when it took ages to find 1 object. You also wear your sim out quickly in the desert, as you can imgine, it gets pretty hot out there!

The graphics in this game were pretty good for the simplicity of the game, as its pretty basic game concept, of find an object, earn points.

I enjoyed playing this Sims game, although it was not what i was expecting from the Sims collection. I found the novelty wore off this game pretty quickly and lasted my only a couple of weeks, before i traded it in for another game!

At present, the game is availble from amazon and most shops from between £15 to £20, not sure it is worth more than £20 unless it's for kids who would probably get more use out of the game!

Summary: not what i expected from the sims collection, but good fun all the same!
