===Womens Murder Club===
In this game the main character who you will play as is Detective Lindsay Boxer, she has an accomplice Det. Ryan Silver, as Lindsay you will have to search various crime scenes in order to find out what has happened to the victims.
Your boss will call you into work even on your much deserved days off due to there being a new homicide.
Each chapter of the game has a different murder scene for you to search and find out who was the killer. It's quite interesting but does also seem a bit samey throughout.
Towards the end of every case you will play as Dr Claire Washburn who will anylize items found by Det. Lindsay Boxer, this is how cases get moved on or sometimes solved.
The game is set on a map and you have to visit different locations which unlock as you complete the phase you are at.
The end of each chapter will see you having lunch with your friends and going back over the facts, you will have to choose items that corrospond to get the facts right.
You have to prepare the crime scenes by 'decluttering' them. This is where you start your search.
Searching the crime scenes is like a puzzle where the items you need to find are among the various other items in the scene. For each chapter you get three hints, these can be accessed by clicking on the clock at the top right hand side of the touch screen. It's here you will also find the notes, settings, a mini Mahjong game, the button to go back to the game and a button to save and exit.
It's quite a fun game but like I have already said it is a bit samey throughout. Although the murder scenes are different it still requires you to perform the same things as the previous chapters.
Playing the game require you to hold your DS console in an upright position as though reading a book.
It's a good enough game but not something I would want to complete in one sitting unlike other games I have played.
I received this James Patterson 'Women's murder club' games of passion game as a gift for my christmas last year and as I like puzzle type games I though this was right up my street. But to my disappointment it wasn't that good to be honest. It can be bought for around £10-£15 but I would recommend that if you want to play this game that you rent it out as I don't think it is worth the money.
To start of with you become Lindsey Boxer who is a detective and she is the crime solver in this game. A long string of murders start to happen in which at first you think are all unrelated and they all involve women who go missing and then are found dead! It is your job to find clues, interrogate suspects and catch the culprits! Whilst this may seem like a good and interesting game it is very easy and there is not much for you to do in it. The first task you are set on one of the murder scenes is to remove clutter but this is very easy since they give you a list of objects which you must find and if you cant find any you can get a hint. Other tasks which you must do to complete the game include interrogating suspects but yet again this is very easy and practically done for you. I sat and completed the game within around 4hours all in when my son was having his daily naps but if I had to sit at night I would imagine it could be completed a bit quicker.
Overall I would not recommend this game as I feel it is far too easy. I like puzzles games which test you and are difficult so there fore take some time to complete. Instead I would recommend the CSI games as these definitely did test me and I have yet to complete them.
I am someone who loves puzzles and i also loved the books by James Patterson so when I saw this game I had to have it! Having stupidly not read any reviews I didnt know what it was going to be like so it serves me right really.
I was very disappointed with this game, it was nothing like i expected it to be. It say you can play as one of the three main characters but you cant you can only play as Lindsay Boxer. It is very simple to play and I completed it within a few hours of continuous play (about 3 or 4 hours).
There is no real interaction between yourself and other characters (apart from the rubbish attempt at interrogation or the 'discussion' with the girls. The game also lacks free movement, you have to go where it tells you at each point in the different chapters.
I t is too repetitive, all you do is look at the 'scene' and tap the things the list tells you to find (again not actual initative is needed! Pretty stupid for a puzzle solving game). Apart from that you can really do much.
There is a supposed mini game (Mah Jong) which isnt that exciting and adds nothing to the game.
You play a small part in the lab work (connecting DNA and matching fibres) but this is very poor compares to some like games like CSI where you can swab, collect, spray and do alsorts to find evidence.
The storyline is really rubbish and the murders and not imaginative at all. It is also very jumpy and jumbled at the end. I got to chapter 8 and was excited to play the next case but thats it! Stop! Its ends at chapter 8 and i think for £25ish it is appaling to only have one case.
I think it is too easy if you are good at puzzles and noth worth the money, I promptly took mine back boxing day and would not recommend it at all.
