This is a super little platform game which is a lot of fun to play and features one of my favourite gaming characters Yoshi. The lttle dragon who gets to swallow his enemies and turn them into eggs which he can then fire at enemies or use they to reveal short cuts or collect stars.

When Baby Luigi is kidnapped the objective of the game is to rescue him from a mysterious floating castle by completing a number of levels as you progress through particular challenges. Once again the evil Kamek is behind the plot.

This is not the easiest of games to play and although it would appear like it is suitable for younger players it is in fact quite difficult and I found it very challenging.


In all there are 50 games to complete that take you through five different worlds so there is plenty of game playing to be had with a good level of repeat playing as you get to explore the worlds for every missing route.

There are some nice changes compared with the original game, in this one you can have one of five babies on Yoshi back and each one opens up different qualities for him and you can change between each to access these qualities.

I do love this game, it is a lot of fun and well worth acquiring.
