Advantages: long game, good gameplay, PWNing baddies

Disadvantages: a few flaws ie not enough bowser

This game follows on from the SNES and gba remake of Yoshi's Island. These two original games were brilliant. The game follows on the same formula and at the end you find another B-awesome game to play.

im going to start with the graphics they are no improvement on the previous graphics but thats because the cartoony style is brilliantly done. The graphics didn't need improving they convey the fun filled atmosphere the game gives you and looks sweet too.

Now this game follows the same style of gameplay throughout but you can play with different babies riding on your back. Each one of these baby characters gives yoshi different powers which obviously adds a new elemnt and depth to the gameplay. When you get Mario you can sprint and find secret hidden blocks, you get baby Donkey Kong who lets you use the vines. Baby Wario uses a magnet to move some platforms, Bowser gets the ability to shoot fire and Peach has an umbrella-ella-ella to ride wind gusts.
You only get wario and bowser on certain levels though.

Now the gameplay is fun and you can still swap betweemn the other characters as and when in the game, on top of that haveing 2 screens means you get to see more of the levels as you traverse them.

The disappointing thing is sometimes you get left in between the screens and cannot see yourself and have to move around as you are getting pelted by sme enemy. This only happens on occasion but is annoying. This game will last you a long time I am still playing on my gba version of the first one sometimes. It is that much fun that you will keep coming back to it.

Summary: an excellent pick up . One the best DS games I own
