I purchased a nintendo ds just a couple of weeks back and I was so happy, I didnt know which game to chose from! I chose a game called yoshi island ds, it seemed really good. I read some reviews on the internet. So many people were saying how good it was. I finally decided to buy it. The next day I was off in game at the checkout. The woman on the ... we found yoshi's island fun and fast with good characters and lovely colours......did however find that the interest level in the game dropped quite quickly , not enough to sustain an avid ds player aged 10 i thought ....

I am a huge fan of the first Yoshi's island, which I have had the pleasure of playing on the snes and the gba, I bought a ds just to play this and New Super Mario Bros. This game is amazing, I love the feel of it. The storyline is a bit pointless but I don't really care. It's perhaps the best out of the super mario series in 2d. Both screens are ... This game follows on from the SNES and gba remake of Yoshi's Island. These two original games were brilliant. The game follows on the same formula and at the end you find another B-awesome game to play. im going to start with the graphics they are no improvement on the previous graphics but thats because the cartoony style is ... Written June 24th 2007: Introduction: Yoshi's Island was a brilliant game, it had brilliant levels, graphics, difficulty, and kept you playing all the time. When a follow-up, Yoshi's Island DS was released, I was initially skeptical, but decided to get the game, and see how good it was in comparison to the ... Read the complete review

Cost: £20-£30 approx. Availability: In most games stores and online. About I love to play games and when I was growing up I had a snes (Super Nintendo Entertainment System), the d.s. has brought this game back to life from the snes version quite brilliantly. There is not many major differences in graphics, colour scheme, ... Read the complete review

the original Yoshi's Island is one of the best plat formers ever made (if not the best). After all, it was a fun Mario-style game with an interesting mix of game play ideas. For the sequel they clearly wanted to keep everything that people loved about the original game intact. Yoshi's Island DS is a run-and-jump plat former that is ... Read the complete review

Yoshi's Island is a retro styled, 2 dimensional platform game of the Mario genre that has been transferred over to the NDS. There is nothing new or original about this game. The characters are the same as yesteryear, the graphics are pretty much unchanged, the background remains the same and there is still the age old concept of having ... Read the complete review

I have so many fond memories playing the Super Nintendo Version of this game. Being released on its original console in 1995 and years later, in 2006 on the DS, i have to say the overall feel of playing it on the SNES is much more satisfactory for some reason. Nevertheless, the whole game concept is brilliant, no matter what console it has been ... Read the complete review

When buying games i usually look for something that is addictive and that i wont want to put down. I dont like playing games that you get bored of after playing for 30 minutes. I am afriad to say this is one of those games. I was a bit dissapointed as you are basically doing the same thing in every level. There is a little bit of differnce but i found it really easy to complete and i would reccommend it for young childen but i usually enjoy mario and yoshi games etc but not really this one.

yoshis island i a great game because i have it and i have completed it and found that it is a very long and quite hard game because once you have completed it (which is not the most easyest feat) you can go into time trial which is where you have to finish the level as fast as you can also if you earn a certain amout of points on each level you ... Now, EVERYONE loves Yoshi. How can you not? Yoshi has to be one of the cutest video game characters ever to grace our screens. This bouncy little green fellow has long been a favourite for Nintendo lovers everywhere... and in the early 90s, the envy of those who sat on the Sega side of the fence. My first experience of Yoshi was Super ... Read the complete review

This is a really good game and it is very fun to play. It is kind of easy to beat, but some of the levels might be hard to beat. While u r playing a hard level to beat the screen is moving and u may have to move yoshi a little bit slower or a little bit faster. It is really cool when baby dk comes along and when u r with him the level is easy to ... Read the complete review

The original Yoshi's Island for the SNES is revered as one of the greatest side-scrolling platformers ever made, with the compelling game play defining a genre. This game takes you back to the yoshi games on the super nintedo, i t a great little platform game with all the legendary characters like yosi (of course) and luigi.
