There are three different modes to the game: single match, mission mode and circuit mode. In single match, players can select an event to play individually, aiming for the highest score to earn medals and unlock further events to play. Mission mode allows players to select a character and meet specific goals in certain events to unlock more events and missions. 	Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Wii) ... game combines sonic and mario characters to bring you 16 playable characters with whom you can compete in different olymic styed events. You have a nice onslaught of characters such as mario, peach, bowser, yoshi, sonic, tails, knuckles, daisy and a fair few more. The game is best for multiplayer party action as the game are easy to pick up and mostfun when played in groups and you can add that competative edge to the game. Most part of the game only requires you to use the wii controller which is good, where as a few need the nuchuck like the archery games. This game came out quite a long while before the 2008 Beijing olympics began, but that still did t make a difference to my decision to buy this game. There are plenty of events to keep the people playing the game addicted to this game for a few hours. There are several categories to choose from when ready to play in a even there is athletics, shooting, gymnastics, archery, aquatics, rowing, fencing and table tennis.
