Advantages: great for improving coordination and having fun

Disadvantages: can seem slow story wise, may be too perky for some

I didnt actually buy this game. OK so I did, but it was part of a 'bundle' from a second hand seller from eBay. I was actually buying the Wii & Wiifit, but this came included along with a TV and a few other things.

First of all yes, its a slow progression game, progressing in both ability and very slow in story, but as the 'career' game is split over weeks and ment to be covering a real cheerleaders progression I think thats ok.

This game does need a minimum of one wii-mote and nunchuck, but for extra "umph" it can be used in conjunction with the wii balance board, but when you do use the balance board it becomes increasingly more difficult as you have then got your legs involved in co-ordination to score more and more points.

I have to admit to actually not being a fan of this although I have played it, basically to ascertain which children would benefit from it most. For example, our poorly coordinated 10 year old girl cant go much past the first practices, however, her sister (8) one has completed the game once already and has started again using the wii balance board. Her co ordination and recognition has improved a lot, and having something to 'test' her comprehension has been beneficial in more than just this game, but we have also noticed a improvement in other areas where good coordination helps.

Thankfully (for my sons atleast) the cheerleaders are not just girls but boys also, meaning they don't have to feel weird playing the game. The costumes are quite varied, with newer costumes being unlocked as you progress through your career.

That said however I do wish for just this game, they did a wireless nunchuck... although I can imagine a lot of injuries from some little girls pulling the moves properly and not paying attention to where everyone else is!

Summary: Just how do you get 8 year old HSM buffs to learn coordination?
