Barnyard is a fantastic little adventure style cartoon game that uses both the wii remote and the num-chuck.

You are a newcomer to the farm (a cow) but luckily get your feet under the table quite quickly and soon find yourself running errands for the older hands and generally protecting the farm as well as earnign a bit on the side.

Despite my inital expectations this game is actually quite addictive. The game is a mix of long running missions and side missions. The games side missions include putting the chicks to bed for Hanna the and rounding up Otis's pals as well as car and bicyle races and the option to play darts and pool.
The long running mission is to collect gold coins (which can be acheived through the mini missions as well as smashing objects) and use them to kit out the barn into a classy farm night-club.

The graphics on the game are in my opinion really good and the characters and environments although cartoon quite realistic. Furthermore the character voices are unique and better-still non-irritating.

The controls for the game are really simple and easily mastered and the music tempo appropraite to the different missions of the games.

All in all the game is very enjoyable giving the player the ability to customise their playing character, the newbie to the farm, a cow.

Summary: Barnyard fun with the new cow on the block.
