Boom Blox (Wii)
Advantages: loads of different levels with huge variation, multi and single player modes
Disadvantages: can't think of any!
This game has a ridiculously simple concept - you throw balls at piles of blocks in order to knock them down. Sounds like it'd get boring within half an hour if not before, and be dull in the meantime. HOWEVER.. Boom Blox is absolutely brilliant, a ridiculously addictive game with many different game modes including single or multiplayer.
There is a huge singleplayer mode with many levels and bonuses to unlock, which can then be used to create your own levels, giving you an endless supply of amusement. As it is now, I have yet to complete the single player mode as the games get increasingly harder to complete as they go on!
The multiplayer mode uses up to four players and again is ridiculously addictive with many levels to unlock using different features such as jenga style levels where players take it in turn to remove blocks, or the standard throw balls at blocks type levels. It can be played either competitively or co-operatively which is also a really nice addition.
I was bought this as a gift so can't complain, but for the price of £14.99 I would say this game is 100% worth it, fun to play for adults and children and won't be one of those games you finish within a month - it'll last for ages!
Summary: absolutely brilliant game. recommend for anyone!
