Advantages: fun, lively, few new equitment you need

Disadvantages: Children doing the same songs over and over and over and over

This is another game I bought as a bundle second hand with my wii/wiifit/balance board.

You can buy this game with the microphone - which is a essential piece of equipment or you'll just be dancing. With the microphone Amazon have this at £20 and less than £5 without.

The game revolves around you, a wannabe Xfactor style superstar, and you need to sing and dance your way to superstardom!

You can play multi player modes, but the most you need is 1 microphone and 2 wii motes and no more than 2 people dance at a time and 2 people use the same microphone on a duet.

OK so basically you enter a Xfactor type competition with 3 events of your choosing, either random songs to sing or dance to (you don't sing and dance at the same time, they are separate events) Dancing revolves around the wiimote motion sensor and specific arm movements which can be practised and referenced with a quick reference card which is usually in the box.

The more competitions you compete in and the better your score, the more levels and points you open up, and points can be redeemed for 'packs' of music and moves. The packs go up in value of points each time you buy one, and eventually (when you have unlocked all the Pop, Urban and Electro packs) you then can buy the Superstar packs with your points.

The selections of songs are great, many recognisable tunes, some rerecorded to remove any inappropriate wordings.

A full song list is here under "your sounds" << http://boogiesuperstar.ea.com/en_uk.action >> although I am totally sick of "Hot n Cold" as my daughters wont do anything else..... of and my sons keep doing Dance Dance so a relief comes over if they do a random dance song instead of singing!

You need a fair amount of space for the 'moves' and bonus moves as we've had a few accidents where kids have been belted for not watching who's around them or actually being mindful some ones on the game.

I'm really sure this is good for any budding song & dancers out there, but for adults its a really cool party game to loosen people up.

Summary: Wii kareoke with a little bit of fun dancing, great for kids or a party!
