A few years ago, I was dying to get a Nintendo Wii, and I was thankful enough to receive one as a Christmas present, however I never really got round to purchasing many games for it. One which I did buy was Cooking Mama 2 because I love playing cooking games, despite being an adult. When I purchased it, it was retailing at £29.99 and I paid the full price, however you can now get it on Amazon for around £12.00 which is very reasonable for a Nintendo Wii game these days. It is the second version of the Cooking Mama game, and despite playing the first game, I had heard very good things about this game when played on the Nintendo DS as well as the Wii. The ... Cooking Mama 2: World Kitchen cost us around £12 from Tesco, and is available from Amazon at present for £16. This is a game that the grandson chose himself, as they have a similar themed PC game at school which he likes to play sometimes. The idea of the game is that you follow a series of basic instructions from the Cooking Mama to create simple dishes. You shake your Wiimote around to season a dish for example, or twist it around to operate a meat grinder etc. In theory this game is just perfect for youngsters who are new to playing a Wii as it lets them practice all the basic moves. The big problem with this game is that it doesn't respond ... Read the complete review

I love this game i think that its alot of fun. This may seem like a kids game but its lots of fun for the whole family. There are many different recipes from all over the world. The recipes are very real everything you make on the game can be replicated and make them yourself. I have tried a few of the recipes of there. My favourite recipe is the Eclaire because it has the most stages to it and I love Eclaires. Whilst playing the game it easy because directions will come up on the screen and all you have to do is copy. It may sound boring but its fun because you move the control as if your actually cooking. Its very realistic. The remote has flown ... Read the complete review

I chose this game as I was impressed with both games of the same name for the Nintendo DS. This game however, was a complete let down. It was really not worth the money for the amount of gameplay and there are issues with the controls used with the movements not being picked up a lot of the time, leading to a bad score on the game. I some cases, the instuctions were so vague that it was difficult to understand what you were supposed to do and then when you finally understood it, it didn't register the motion! The addition of the Let's Cook mode is a nice idea but presents the main problems as the main game. The mulit-player mode is slightly better as all players are ... Read the complete review
