Game Party Wii...
Game Party is a game for the Wii computer console. It is one disc containing seven different skill games. Because it is a game for the Wii, it is far more interactive than playing on other computer consoles. It costs around £19.99 pence when bought new but I expect can be found a lot cheaper second hand or even new but bought from an online store. This is one of a few games that I was included in the Wii console package.
The main reason I chose this as one of the games that were included was because of its brilliant multiplayer ability. The games that are on the disc are all games that you would play alongside other people. The games are: Darts, Table Hockey, Skill Ball, Hoop Shoot, Ping Cup, Shuffle Board and Trivia.
The game is described on the back of the box as "The Ultimate Party Experience". This did sound promising, the idea of the games it offers, and the idea of the type of game play it really sounded like a good one to have in the collection.
The game was easy to start up and beginning laying as you can opt for a straight forward game play or spend more time and choose and create different plays than the basic ones on offer. However, this may sound fancy but it really is not. The players are simple and the way to create players is frankly basic and dull. I would describe the game play as very box like and this must mean that the actual graphics are low.
The games are all very easy to play but not overlying enjoying. The game play is fun with two or more players but one your own can seem boring and a waste of time. The game play itself though I find rather disappointing and I would much rather play the Wii sports that comes free with the Wii console.
I think my best game from this disc has got to be table hockey but even that seems fairly low and limiting. Because the game just does not feel right it gives off a rather disappointing feel all over.
Darts is a fun game and can be pretty intense when playing with someone else but aging the game play just seems like something from a few years ago. You are playing with the Wii remote though and that does give you a more interactive feel but that does not make up for the overall feel of the game.
I would say it is an okay one to have in your collection to perhaps get out when you feel like a game of darts or such like. Overall, however I found it rather disappointing and would of opted for another game if I had known then what I know now. I think an average score of 2 stars is applicable here. I would not really give it a recommendation but if you can get it for cheap, really, really cheap then give it a try but in general I wouldn't bother with it.
Summary: dont bother with it
