... Xbox? The game consists of mini-tasks which involve the main character Harry Potter to run around, learning spells, collecting potions etc. and they all add up to the final encounter at the end of the game. In addition to this, the game has lots of prerecorded clips of Harry speaking to other characters. In this aspect, the game can become quite annoying and there is an awful lot of running around to do between tasks but otherwise the game is quite enchanting and it is easy to submerge oneself into the magic of Hogwart...more

Premium Review Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix (Wii): Harry must be proud of this one! (238 words)
by - written on 13/01/09 (Very useful, 17 readings)
Rating:

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is more or less a new take on the Harry Potter games. It sees you using your wand and moving it in different directions to cast spells. This is a new interesting way to play the game which adds a sense of realism to the game play. The game itself is quite simple and the controls are quite easy to master. You will have to go around the school to complete tasks. The most impressive aspect to this game is Hogwarts School. It is unbelievably realistic. Because it is so realistic it can take awhile to get from one place to another which becomes quite annoying but never the less is does add a sense of realism to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Potter around the Castle (223 words)

Rating:

Order of the Phoenix is the most immersive Harry Potter game yet. Being able to explore the whole of the Hogwarts castle and grounds without the console stopping to load is amazing. The in-game environment which you can walk round is massive, and this is probably the most impressive aspect of the experience. The graphics are very good - perhaps graphically one of Wii's top ten titles - albeit without the high-res textures of the PS3 and Xbox360 versions. This detailed representation of characters and environments does result in quite a bit of slowdown on various occasions however. I found the controls generally to be good, although some say they ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix (Wii): Realistic, Great for Potter Fans (192 words)

As a fna of Harry Potter. Harry Potter games are a must have.. Saying that i never really rated any of the games prior to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix being released for the first time on a Wii console. This game is phenonomel. It provides horus upon horus of gameplay as you become Harry in his quest to defeat Voldemort. This game is truely addictive, i couldn't put this game down until i had completed it. Yuo can explore the Grounds and the castle of Hogwarts at your pleasure in normal gameplay. The graphics are impressive with all the characters, the castle, grounds and the portraits also being very realistic. The controls i found to be ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review HARRY POTTER (160 words)
by - written on 12/09/08 (Somewhat useful, 28 readings)
Rating:

Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix is one of the most action packed out of the harry potter series. It shows more violence and Voldermort is getting close to meeting his other half, Harry Potter. In this book harry Potter has joined with an aliance called the Order. They are trying to track down Lord Voldemort and kill him to prevent him causing destruction and expanding his army of death eaters. The detail in this book is great and it paints a clear picture in the mind of young readers about what is going on. It also has a sense of fear and a lot of emotions arise between Hermione and Ron. Will they finally admit their feelings for eachother? Harry on the other ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix (Wii): Good way of passing the time. (178 words)

Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix is one of the stranger games available on the Wii but that only adds to the appeal of it all really. While using the wand in the game to cast spells, the Wii remote is the best platform to do this - certainly more realistic than using a PlayStation or Xbox? The game consists of mini-tasks which involve the main character Harry Potter to run around, learning spells, collecting potions etc. and they all add up to the final encounter at the end of the game. Humerous Seen it all before platform game

Good for family as can have questions based on age Gets boring as no variation on round style

Super fun and brilliant with friends! Super lame and boring without friends!

The closest you will get to the real thing without going outside. As soon as Tiger Woods '11 comes out this game is going to join the ranks of the trade in games.

Some great gameplay Unresponsive at times.

Friendly games, childhood favs, fun for children quite repetitive.
