Advantages: Strategy-based brick-building fun
Disadvantages: One or two levels very hard to crack
Hot(ish) on the heels of the Lego Star Wars and Lego Indiana Jones games for the Wii comes the next excellent instalment of brick-based genius.
Having played both of the aforementioned titles on the Wii, it was with a little trepidation I tried out Lego Batman: The Videogame. I was worried that it would be all a bit same-y; just another variation on a theme.
I needn't have worried.
Lego Batman on the Wii is a great game. It has all the puzzle-based aspects of its predecessors, but with a batman theme to it. The characters (or in this case Batman or Robin 'suits') have lots of different powers which you have to use to solve the situations you find yourself in.
There are a number of Bat-vehicles to master too and all the familiar Batman baddies. And it still has the same concept of collecting and/or assembling lego bricks to achieve your goals. Bizarrely, I still find it funny seeing Batman thowing all the bricks together building something - maybe it's just me.
This game will keep you occupied for hours.
Summary: I loved it, good, clean puzzling fun

- 28/08/09 Nice review.. but when you say hours.. is it a really short game? I don't want to buy it if its something I'll end up playing and beating in a day or two.. |
