I bought Mario Kart for the Wii for my husband for Christmas and it has caused no end of competitiveness in our household. I bought the game and the steering wheel for £29.99. You can play using either the steering wheel or the normal Wii remote. You can choose to be a number of different characters including the regulars, Mario and Luigi. Characters are divided into three different weight groups; light, medium and heavy and different characters are better at different games. You also add additional characters the more you play.

You can also pick up additional items as you go through the games and these items do different things e.g. the bullet accelarates you through the race, the banana makes other characters spin. There are also different courses that you can undertake, some being a lot easier than others. Some of the hard courses have no sides to the road and therefore you tend to fall off a lot.

This is one game that you can play for hours without getting bored and is a must have for the Wii. It is game that suits adults and children.
