Advantages: Socalble and easy to play

Disadvantages: Multiplayer screens can get quite 'busy'

A timeless classic - Mario Karts - which has been upgraded and much improved for the Wii.

More interactive than ever your Wii remote slots into the Wii wheel so you actually steer your way round the game and use A,B and other buttons on the wii remote to drive around, accelaerate, throw objects and jump (and change gear if playing in manual mode) However you can play with other controllers if the wheel does not suit your gaming style, though we have found all our friends adapt to the wheel pretty quickly. You can buy extra wheels quite cheaply to allow you to play multiplayer games.

You can alos play against others via the Wii online system - though I'm not very good at techno things so haven't ventured on doing this yet.

There are loads of different cups which consist of different race courses so there are many to choose from and stop it getting samey and repetitive.

You can play wiht a variety of mario characters including: Mario, Luigi, Toad, Yoshi, Peach and baby mario, baby peach etc. The traditional mario eneies are there: turtle, mushrooms etc and some new baddies inclduing penguins and your Mii character driving in opposition.

You can play in both motorcycles and cars and there are a number of vehicles to choose from depending on your character.

It can be played in single or multi-player mode. Grand prix style, races, team races and battles.

It is really good fun and is entertaining to play on your own and is socialble for groups of people.

It is easy to play and get to grips with. Simple controls and new feature of flicking the controller up mid-air means you can do some jazzy stunts.

Personally I prefer the races than the battles but I haven't given the battles much time yet.

The more you play the more courses you unlock and then once unlocked anyone can play any course. I like the fact that when playing multiplayer you can select different courses and make up your own races which again makes each play slightly different and fun.
