i've lost count of the number of wii games we've bought and exchanged because they were either too complex or just plain boring but mario kart is one game i can safely say we'll be playing for a long time. at first it was a game for me and the hubby but the kids, 7 and 4 are such experts now at it that its all they play.

the actual game itself can be played by a solo player or in groups which makes it a brilliant family game. in addition, it can also be played online with 'real expert' players or even a family member who has the game. all you need is a wireless connection to your wii.

it starts with four cups each with four race courses and four that need unlocking. Additional vehicles and characters are added as courses are completed on a high score level. in additon to the grand prix games there are also coin collector and balloon games. not ones im particularly good at but the kids have mastered really well.

great fun, highly recommeded.
