Advantages: addictive gameplay

Disadvantages: graphics are just ok

Once i heard this was coming out i couldnt help but get my snes out to get some practise for the return of one of the greatest games to grace the shelves.
Mario kart is all about the addictive gameplay, on the wii it does not fail, there are 24 characters to choose from and eventually your own wii.
The controls are pretty simple and anyone, any age can pick them up and become good at it, you put the wii remote in the wheel which comes with the game and turn it like a steering wheel! You then press a button to fire any items you pick up along the way.

You have to unlock characters on the way in the single player mode. This is done by winning cups and progressing in the single player mode. There are 8 cups to choose from, again, unlocking them the better you do with 4 races on various tracks. The tracks get harder aswell as you progress and takes a little getting used too. Theres also battle mode which has you with 3 balloons around your vehicle and you try to pop the oppositions balloons by bumping into them and firing turtles etc at them.
The online mode is fantastic, play against your friends or anyone your put against anywhere in the world. The track is voted for by whoever is playing and away you go, you can also play with another friend in the same room so have 2 of you going against people in another country.

The graphics are ok but thats not what mario kart is all about, its about the gameplay, and its definatly addictive. Hours will pass in what feels like minutes!
You can also set time trials for anyone in the world on the mario kart channel and try and beat someone elses record.

I would recommened this to anyone as im sure most of the population would enjoy this in someway.

Summary: amazing game with years of playability
