Mario Kart has made a name as one of the premier gaming series. Undoubtedly, as the gaming world has headed more to FPS and HD graphics, this type of game tends to get looked down upon by those holier than thou gamers, but while this game obviously doesn't have the in depth racing of Gran Turismo, it is ultimately a game made for fun with friends.

Boasting dozens of tracks and characters all with slightly different abilities, you can race with 4 people or use the battle mode. The racing to me is more fun, as you can go from 1st to 8th in one second and then straight back up. The design of the courses is brilliant and the game really suits having 12 drivers on the tracks. The reworkings of old tracks are faithful to the originals.

THe controls are great, the steering wheel has never let me down yet. (You get one bundled with the game when bought new) The online modes are also great, with up to 12 racers and zero slowdown.

Overall I would say this game is more for when you're with friends or two player online as it's more enjoyable than on your own.

Summary: A great game that's a must own for wii users.
