I bought this for my children but have been really pleased with what a great family game it has turned out to be. There are a varity of sports to choose from and you can use your Mii or one of the Mario and Sonic characters for each event. as you progress in the game different sports are opened up and there are various challenge trophies you can achieve. You can select events you like or accept a set grouping. It is the varity of different events that make this game so enjoyable without repetition or boredom. Things like the trampolining require rapid control of the buttons on the controller, shotputt requires accurate timing whilst swimming and running needs quick arms. Some of the control movements get very tiring very quickly, especially the rowing!

It is refreshing in that you can switch on and play for just a few minutes or settle down to play for ages. This works particularly well when the children have friends round who are not used to playing on the Wii, they are able to play quickly at the same level as everyone else in some sports. There are also some events that require a certain amount of skill so longer to perfect such as the archery. There really is something for everyone.

We have now had the game for several months and it is just as popular.
