Mario strikers charged is a unique game, there are no other games that fall into it's category. I brought it just under a year ago therefore I can give a full review sharing all my experiences of it.

There are more characters in this game than the previous version for the gamecube, they are Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Yoshi, Bowser, Bowser Jr, DK, Waluigi and a plant character whos name I am not aware of. There are also more sidekicks in this one, they have all been upgraded to feature better special moves and dodges. Annoyingly though there always has to be the same old crocodile in goal.

The gameplay is relatively similar to the previous version of the game, which in my opinion is great. There is one new major feature in the gameplay though, megastrikes. When a player is in their opponents half of the field and they hold down the shoot button for a long enough period of time they release a megastrike. In a mega strike between 3 and 6 shots are released at the keeper, who then points the wii remote at the screen to save the shots.

There are 3 types of mode in mario strikers charged; online mode, quick match and career. The best of these modes is easily the online mode. The career mode is unfortunately repetetive and boring. The online mode is great to use, there are over 12000 players online so there will be no problem attempting to find a match.

The graphics are above average for a wii game here. The backgrounds and fans around the stadium really accelerate the graphics.

To sum up I think that this is certainly a wii classic. It is available for £30 at amazon now.
