Advantages: Fun aerobic workouts in your lounge

Disadvantages: Very annoying coach called Maya

This is an excellent game for those who want to get fit without having to join a gym. To get started you need to type in a detailed profile of yourself, e.g. height, weight etc. Before you have your first exercise session you must complete a fitness test, which the coach uses to work out a personalised training programme for you. You need to indicate which days of the week you are going to be exercising as well as the duration of your sessions. If you have more time you can increase your duration when you start the session. The coach, Maya, will suggest which sort of exercise you should be doing daily, but you can choose to ignore her advice and select a different session. The game tracks your progress and periodically gives you fitness tests to update your profile. The game unlocks different locations and music as rewards for sticking to the programme and exercising regularly.
You have the option of using hand-weights and a Pilates ball with the game. If you are going to do the yoga sessions it is advisable to have a yoga mat (the carpet or a towel is not a good replacement!).
There are only two negatives about the game: 1) the coach, Maya, can be very annoying! 2) you cannot indicate if you are struggling with a specific exercise (I cannot do push-ups!), it only asks you how you are finding a section of the exercises about every 5 minutes.
As you don't do the exercises with the Nunchuck or Wii remote, this game relies on your honesty while exercising. It will also tell you how many calories you have burned at the end of each session.
I use this game as a supplement to the EA Sports Active Personal Trainer as Wii Fitness Coach focuses more on cardio exercises. These 2 games make an excellent combination.
My Fitness Coach is a bargain at about £10.

Summary: Excellent game for muscle toning and improving your fitness
