I never considered a golf game of any type to be fun, I've never had any interest in the sport, so why would I find a video game any fun?
That was until I bought a Wii, and with it Wii sports which of course has a golf game on it. I found it quite fun to play, especially with friends. I noticed 'Pangya Golf with Style' and thought it looked fun. The game cover doesn't portray a game that is overally serious about golf such as the tiger woods games so I was drawn to it.
I did not regret buying Pangya at all.
I would not recommend jumping right into the game though... if you have no knowledge of the controls it will be quite hard to grasp as I soon found out! Instead you should play through the game's tutorial first which is great at teaching you the basics of the game.
The game is a little challenging at first, and there were moments which I was getting quite annoyed and frustrated, one of those 'I'm going to throw this controller out of the window!' moments. However I did eventually make my way through it. The game has a 'story' to it, which at times is just plain silly and typical of these cutesy Japanese games, but it's a nice twist on what could be a plain and boring golf game.
The characters are colourful and you can customise you own character! You can buy clothes for your character and different clubs and balls (Always wondered what using an umbrella for a golf club would look like? Play this game!) which is a nice feature, playing through the game earns you the points ndeed to buy these customisations.
The putting is alot better than the Wii Sports Golf too, I think it shows the lay of the land alot better and it's alot easier.
If you like playing golf on Wii Sports and are after a light hearted fun golf game, then I would defintely recommend this. I had fun playing it!
