Love this game for the Wii. I was a bit sceptical because of the bad reviews it got but I'm guessing those were from Call of Duty fan boys.
The graphics were PS2 like and the same for the sound but it was very addictive to play for me.
It may be a bit too easy for experienced pro gamers and I did complete it within a matter of days but it has a lot of replay value and I have completed it plenty of times since.
It has good voice acting from the real actors from the films and plenty of great cut scenes.
The ending was a let down as they are with a lot of games so that's no surprise.
The controls can be a bit of a pain to get used to for inexperienced gamers and the hand combat control scheme is frustrating at first but is a sinch once you work it out.
A great game for the Wii, buy it and don't let the negative reviews detract you.
It's one of the more rare movie to game adaptions that's worth getting.
I bought this game for my Husbands birthday...and to be honest, I have kind of hogged the game all to myself!
I was addicted to the old golden eye bond game, and this game is a fantastic replacement.
You use the wii remote to point and shoot the gun, and to look around the scene. The Wii nunchuck is used to direct 007 using the joystick, and you can press the Z button to focus on targets you need to shoot.
The camera settings are quite fast when you begin the game, and I started with motion sickness after playing it for a while. I found you can alter how sensitive the Wii remote is, and this stops you from spinning round in circles too much, at least until you are used to the game.
You can play multiplayer games against friends, and choose from a range of characters to play as, all with their own skills listed, (speed, shooting accuracy etc). You can choose to simply run around a destination trying to kill each other, or choose to complete objectives - the one who completes the most objectives wins.
You can also play online against others, and even meet your friends online and play against them.
These Wii games keep popping up for under £20 now, with Quantum of Solace now available brand new for under £17, though I picked mine up pre-owned from Gamestation for £12.99. It is rated 12, for 1-4 players on the Wii, though up to 12 players online on the other consoles.
This is a first person shooter, following the script of the film. You shoot your way through the plot of the film, and it certainly seems as though you cannot stray too far away from the intended programmers path. The graphics are pretty standard for the Wii, but even worse in this game is the lag. You point to shoot and there seems to be an annoying delay. Even the cut scenes miss frames and are all choppy. So what you have here is mediocre graphics, a game path that is pre-decided and controls that frustrate you with their delay. Even at £5 I would be disappointed with this game.
After reading some of the professional and non professional reviews on this game and then playing the game a few days later after purchasing it, they don't seem to justify it the reviews. I loved "Nightfire" and "Everything or Nothing" on Wii and to me both in game play and story are just like this game, this game is at least on par with those two games, if not better! As a big fan on the Wii console I have to say that this game is one of them games you just have to buy, look no where else and buy this game. This first-person shooter plays fine a lot of the time and the graphics are extremely good and enoyable. The AI on the enemies works well for me as if you try and take cover, quickly or try to work the flank and they even pin you down and lob grenades at you, forcing you to evacuate. So this game is a must buy for the Nintendo Wii game lovers.
Thank you for reading
When i saw it going cheap in the GAME sale i couldn't wait to get home and play it.
When you first start up the game it gives you 4 options of play level, which are the equivalent of Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert which is a good setting for when you first start playing the game, then for when you get a bit better, then for when you are quite good and then for when you are really good!
This game has surprisingly good graphics that are in some parts quite realistic. This is surprising as normally on the Wii you only get good graphics in cartoonish type games. This game is integrated with some parts of Casino Royale and the whole of the Quantum of Solace adventure!
Quantum of Solace is a game that i would definitely recommend getting. But get it on Wii because the game has been rated that you get the best experience on the Wii. Although 1 minor point is that it is quite hard to control unless you have the Wii gun as well.
Quantum of Solace (Wii) £17.99 (20.10Euro) ($27.51)*
Wii Zapper £7.98 (8.92Euro)** ($27.79)***

ENJOY 007'S NEWEST GAME!!!!!!!!!!
When I saw this game in the shops I just had to buy it. It has to be the best 007 Bond game since Golden Eye! I've been waiting for ages for some decent action games on the Wii so was very excited when I managed to get my hands on this; I also saw the Wii Gun when I was buying this so thought hey might as well get it and enjoy this game.
Once I was home, Got to the game straight away inserting the Wii remote and nun chuck into Wii Gun. I completed the first level to test and see how the Wii Gun performed. It wasn't really accurate even without the gun. The sensor bar didn't really pick up all the signals from the controls so shooting was very off meaning you always missed the enemy! The game itself is pretty standard stuff, rushed in parts to leave a feeling of what could have been. Graphics was ok didn't really expect much from the Wii.
Online play is fun but full of absolutely professional players so unless you want to spend HOURS AND HOURS getting really good you'll find you're whipped out of the games pretty quickly.
If you looking for a casual first-person shooter game then 007 Quantum of Solace is the game you should get but if you're an intense gamer like me then look elsewhere
All in looks good but not worth the money they want for it
I love the Wii and think that it is a great invention, with bond being back in the latest episode this was a game that had appeal, what made it more appealing is that my dad had James bond Golden eye on the playstation, which I enjoyed playing, so this is a game I thought was worth getting especially as it had been released on the Wii.
The Quantum of Solace on Wii also incorporating Casino Royale and with a exciting single player mode that has you using the Wii remote as a gun to shoot your way through various levels, as you play Bond and you need all your skills and gadgets that bond would have to face the enemies. Along with all your favourite character and voices, along with scenes from the film.
Multiplayer is a essential part of any bond game and this is no exception, you have the choice to have a go at the various maps and have a shoot out, with the split screen option local play option or the full screen online play option you are spoilt for choice. The only disadvantage is you are not able to compete against the computer on multiplayer mode.
This game requires some sharp shooting and some tactical moves to complete the game, I as yet have not been lucky enough too, I have only had the game over a week but so far I have been impressed.. But after you have played it once or twice you will soon have the hang of the game and will struggle to put the game down until you have completed it.
The graphics to this game are great and are some of the greatest graphics that I have seen to date on the Wii, the controls are easy to use which is what you need out of a game.
This game is definitely one for your Christmas list.
Bond is Back! Based on the "Quantum of Solace" and "Casino Royale" films, Quantum of Solace places you in the ruthless world of international espionage and intrigue.
