When the red steel game for wii came out it was due to a hit as the best shooter on wii, unfortunately though it didn't really live up to expectations. I will tell you why in this review. Red steel takes full advantage of the wii's controls. The wii remote is pointed at the screen to shoot giving it a gun like feel. Also when a player is in close combat with a sword the remote is shaken to replicate gun motions. These give the game a much more realistic feel. The graphics are well put together on red steel. There are many destroyable buildings and enviroments that really improve and boost the graphics. All characters in the game look very well ... Read the complete review

Ok this is one of those misunderstood games that no one wants to try out because amatuer reviewers on games websites play it for half an hour and toss it away. First time i played this, i hated it soo much, i thought that the wii console was only capable of being this fun, i was like ARGH until my friend told me to hold the wii mote properly (LOOOOL) because from his experience, he knew it was kick ass, everything about this game rules from his experiences, and im starting to believe him, because the gameplay makes u active and give you a work out and really includes yu in the game, you axctually feel like running away when people shoot at you ... Initially this game had everything I wanted, Yakuza, Intrigue and Uzis but pretty soon it stopped being fun. There is very little to this game, formulaic and repetitive, but the gameplay is an interesting idea. The use of, yes, lets call it bullet time because thats what it is, was a good function. Using bullet time you could select a gang boss from the crowd, target his weapon and the whole gang would surrender, nicely done. For me however the game had a number of issues, the first being that as a somewhat addictive natured gamer I was playing for a few hours at a time and I can tell you after a while that controller will piss you off. Having to keep the remote pretty .. Read the complete review

INTRODUCTION FPS, huh? Yeah, they're three letters that probably wouldn't mean anything to me either unless I had a somewhat healthy interest in the video game industry. Those three letters happen to stand for 'first person shooter', and the chances are that you have played an FPS video game before in your lifetime. An example of such a game is 'Goldeneye 64', where you manuever yourself around situations from a first-person perspective, gun inhand of course. When the announcement was made of the Nintendo Wii there was a buzz around how its unique control system, the motion sensing Wiimote, would be perfect for this genre and that is why it came as no surprise ... Red steel was released in 2006 it was as an example of how the new Wii motion control system could be used for shooters. I don't feel the game was designed to be the best ever, but more to showcase the new syel of gameplay the Wii offered comsumers and this must be kept in mind when reviewing the game. The two questions are: 1) Does Red Steel show that shooting/first person combat games can work on the Wii and 2) is it a good game in its own right. *Story* You play as Scott Monroe, a man engaged to Miyu who is daugher of Isao Sato; the head of one of the larget Yakuza clans. You are going to meet your father in law to be when a rival gang attacks and you ... Read the complete review
