Super Mario galaxy is easily the must have game on the wii just as the previous wii titles such as Twilight Princess and Resident Evil 4 and 5. Its very simple this is one of the best games ever made regradless of the fact that it came out on the wii, It advances way beyond Super Mario 64 did in it's time, but still plays quite similarly to the ... Ooh, I'm loving this! Mr Neenaw has been recommending me to try Super Mario Galaxy for a while now, and he was right! I'm not always such a bit action game fan - I often prefer strategy type stuff, but I'm beginning to think this is just because I don't really like traditional handsets. Super Mario Galaxy, however, is for the Nintendo ... Read the complete review

When i had my beloved Nintendo Wii "i had so much fun" using it and one of my favourite games indeed was this one. I had played Mario games on other systems such as the Nintendo 64 and the Dream Cast but Mario Sunshine left me frustrated and ready to throw the darn Dream Cast out the window because i got so far in it then i just couldn't ... I still remember the first day which i loaded up Super Mario 64. This massive, lush, colourful 3d world sprawled out in front of me... and i could go wherever i wanted to go! I had always loved the 2D Mario adventures to bits, but having never seen anything this special before, its something that really got me into gaming seriously and has stuck ... If your familiar with Mario then you'll know the drill. Collect coins, finish levels, defeat baddies and save the day, with the levels getting gradually tougher. Yep, it's the same tried and tested format, but that doesn't make it any less of a game. In fact Mario is so good that Nintendo could keep churning out this template for ... Read the complete review

This game is awesome. I could leave the review there but dooyoo would like another few words and im happy to write them. If you ever played Super Mario on the nintendo 64 back in the day you will remember how amazing it was and what a step forward in gaming it was. this game almost re-invented 3D adventuring. This game is just as ... Read the complete review

Mario games a nearly always great and this, this first outing on the Wii for Mario, is no expection. This remains one of the best looking games on the Wii and a true example of what the 'alleged underpowered' console is capable of. It's also a good example of wii controls well implemented, but I'll get to that in a mo. The ... Read the complete review

Well people waited to see what Nintendo would do to improve on the great Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine and here it is, Mario in space! The story is the usual Princess Peach gets captured by Bowser but this time he has taken her into space and Mario has followed. The graphics are very nice but the main selling point of this ... i am a big fan of mario games and this game certainly does not disappoint! The game follows Mario through space on his quest to find luma's, star children, in order to save Princess Peach from the evil Bowser! There are 121 different luma's to collect - each at the end of a unique level. There are several different type's of luma's - ... Read the complete review

It's worth buying this game just to see the imagination that's gone into all of the various levels. I obviously won't spoil it for you but it really is something special in this respect and offers a lot of variation. If you've always loved Mario like I have it combines all the best bits of the old with some really cool new ideas and its safe to ... Read the complete review

To begin, I'll steal a quote from cult Scottish game reviewers ConsoleVania: "It's about a wee fat man running around in space having the time of his life". Except you're not always in space, sometimes you'll be in Toytown, or a mansion that houses ghosts, or climbing up a honeycomb wall while dressed as a bee. One thing is constant, ... Mario is jumping around a peanut shaped planet chasing a white rabbit that it just out of reach. I've always loved the Mario games so it was only natural for me to buy this once I purchased my Wii. Super Mario Galaxy - Wii Firstly, a bit about the graphics; what holds this game back the most is the camera angles. Occasionally you'll be pushing the control stick in the correct direction when you flip onto the other side of the planet and your controls invert, seeing you run back to the other side. It's a little annoying and a bit ... Read the complete review

After the somewhat lacklustre last Mario platform game, Super Mario Sunshine on the Gamecube, Nintendo needed to get back on form with Super Mario Galaxy, and guess what, they have ! I love this game! Definitely a must buy for the Wii. Using both the wii remote and nunchuck you travel across various planets as mario collecting stars.
The graphics are very bright and colourful and it's a very 'fun' looking game. The controls are simple to master and once you start playing you don't want to stop!
Each level is around a different theme, whether it be ice, space, volcanos etc, so it doesn't get boring quickly like some platform games.
