... version and that is basically down to the controls. The Wii remote really should be great for this kind of game, but it just doesn't work as well as you would think it might, nor does it work as well as the standard control pad that you get on the PS3. The controls are the main bug bear here and basically are the reason for the 3 star score as the game itself is terrific. You get all the moves, action and tournament excitement that table tennis brings, but none of the control that is needed because of, you've guessed...more

Premium Review Table Tennis (Wii): A great game but your are will ache! (211 words)

I brought this game as it looked great and it was very good on the Xbox 360 at my friends house. I think this game is great and really fun to play but needs to be improved in other areas. The game has some great graphics which make you think you are really there. The game's controls are really good and make you feel like you are truly there. You swing the Wii remote like a real bat. It works really well and the action isn't delayed. The game has no framerate issues but isn't responsive at times meaning you are just left swinging. The game is very good with some good entertaining gameplay. Once you start playing you won't be able to put it ...  Read the complete review

As a household full of games fans, we have got all 3 consoles, the Nintendo Wii, the Sony Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360 and Table Tennis by Rockstar is one of those rare games we have had on more than one console. The title, based on the popular holiday sport of table tennis is not something that usually lends itself to being a good video game, but in this case that is different. However, the Nintendo Wii version is not as good as the PS3 version and that is basically down to the controls. The Wii remote really should be great for this kind of game, but it just doesn't work as well as you would think it might, nor does it work as well as the standard control ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Table Tennis (Wii): Is it as fun as the Xbox 360 version? (168 words)

After playing Table Tennis on the XBox 360, and the Tennis game featured on Wii Sports, I hoped this game would take the good bits from both. Although you would expect the Wii controller to be perfectly suited to a table tennis game, in this offering, its not. The controls aren't in 'realtime' as is the case in Wii Sports Tennis - therefore, when you swing your bat, there is a delay before the onscreen character performs a movement. This really takes away realism from the experience, and can be a bit frustrating. The graphics are not too bad, but will look rather poor if you've just been playing the same game on the XBox 360. In the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Don't waste your money this game is slow (247 words)

Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis was a hit title for the XBOX 360 and what a great idea to use the Wii control system and brings this game on Wii. The graphics to the game are pretty good the Table Tennis players are very detailed which is important along with the courts they look good for the Wii. Well if you are left handed like myself you may have problems why Rockstar Games only made it for right handers is beyond a joke. There is not just right handed people who want to play you know instead Rockstar Games are been biased. The worst part that i find annoying in this game is you swing to take your shot and about 8 - 10 seconds later it ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Table Tennis (Wii): Table Tennis - No realism (244 words)

When i saw this game in the shops i simply could not see where Nintendo Wii could go wrong. I played table tennis as a youngster competitevly and thought this game would be great fun for the family. How wrong i was! The attachment as expected for this Wii game is a table tennis bat. However unlike the other attachments (golf, tennis bat) this wii attachment actually is not realistic. I found that ites not fit slugly onto the wii remote and there is actually a delay between the time you swing the bat and the player swings the bat on the screen. Considering this game is supposed to be realistic, that wasn't the best of starts. The graphics are not bad for a Wii ...  Read the complete review
