I am a big Guitar Hero fan myself, but when The Beatles greatest songs were released on to the Wii for the Rock Band franchise, i had to get it. My girlfriend is a huge Beatles fan, and this game has all the hits that they produced through the years.

Having the Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock guitar, i was a bit cautious as to whether the guitar would work with the Rock Band game, but as the cover of the box states, it works with most guitars available, so i wasn't disappointed when we tried it out and it worked superbly.

The game has a very similar style of play to the guitar hero series, so don't let the fact that it's not part of that franchise put you off.

As with most other guitar/band based games, The Beatles Rock Band can include lead guitar, bass guitar, drums, and microphones for the more vocally trained of you.

The story board mode takes you through the journey of the Beatles rise to stardom, starting off by playing their early hits in the Cavern club, and then taking you on a tour of America when Beatlemania started, playing the Ed Sullivan show and so on, and also includes their later recording sessions of an alternative Asian sound.

To accompany these songs, the background has the band, who have been recreated in an animated context almost perfectly, playing the songs live on stage, or in animated videos featuring the band, which can get a bit weird after a few drinks!!!!!

All in all, this game won't disappoint any music fan, and if you love the Beatles but can't play any instrument, this is the closest you will get to the real thing.
