It was my son's love for the cartoon... oh OK and mine... that lead us to purchase this game. The humour and characters on the TV are just so hilarious, right on the edge of being vulgur, but just about getting away with it. We paid £27.99 for this game soon after it came out and I have mixed feelings about it. Graphics: This is where the publisher did a good job. They are nice and colourful in a cell shaded style, so they look very cartoony and true to the TV programme. The special effects are also very well done indeed. Sound: This is also nice, with voice snippets from the cartoon, giving you a sense that you are taking part in one of the episodes. Gameplay: The main let down in the game is that it ends up being a button basher. Sometimes the action is so frantic you just push any combination of buttons to try and beat your opponents. Longevity: After about one week The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy became very familiar with our bookshelf. The storyline and game progression is very weak, so not one to recommend.
I have to say I enjoy Grim adventures of Billy and Mandy the TV series but the game well no. The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy is one of Cartoon Network's popular shows and its just a show that i do love. As i like the series a lot I went out and bought the game and or did i make a big mistake this game is really short only 6 levels long. Another disappointing thing about this its not an adventure its just fighting, adding to the Wii control system just will not even fit to this game it feels like everything your doing just doesn't work but i still finished the game with them took me about 40 minutes. The game features levels from the show it's self, it features 20 players you will have seen from TV. On a good note this features all the cast members voices from the TV show i just like Richard Horvitz doing Billy's voice and Greg Eagles doing Grim's voice. But the voices are only short sound clips meaning your going to get the same ones every time you fight which it's the same thing it does get annoying. High Voltage Software feels like they never put any thought into the game instead it looks like it has been rushed. The story is way to short this is just a direct port as it was from the GameCube and it feels that the controls just don't even respond. I can't believe that Cartoon Network let them do this to the game its just really disappointing. If you see this cheap then buy it but you will be disappointed with how short this game is next time get a better developer. The kids will find it hard and boring this is one game worth avoiding at all costs.
