Advantages: Great graphics, great fun, plenty of unlockables

Disadvantages: Perhaps too much swearing, disturbing scenes

I recently picked this game up after hearing rave reviews of the game both from friends and online from sites like IGN. I waited till it was reduced in price as £40 seemed too expensive.

The game itself is fantastic fun, there's plenty of gore, action, violence and humour to keep many hardcore video gamers satisfied. HOTD: Overkill creates a fantastic arcade feel for your own living room and is best played with a friend.

Some people may be offended by the humour, over-the-top gore and extreme amount of swearing but it all adds to the authentic feel that Sega have tried to achieve. Parents beware, this game is not for young kids!

The game is a lot of fun and although the main story mode won't take you that long to complete, there are many unlockables to keep you coming back for more. In particular you can unlock a director's cut edition of the main game which makes it a lot more difficult by increasing the difficulty and the number of enemies found in the game. There are also plenty of mini-games for you to enjoy.

Overall this is a great game and is a whole lot of fun to play, if you can find it for around £20 you can consider it a bargain.

Summary: Great game, all mature Wii owners should pick up a copy!
