Advantages: Great graphics and gameplay, the controls are amazing, new wolf mode is entertaining

Disadvantages: I have already beaten it!!!

Zelda: Twilight Princess was one of the first launch games out for the Nintendo Wii, and by far the most popular. It is the latest in the Zelda series and the first on the wii. Throughout the game you play as Zelda, but at intervals you transform into a wolf and travel through a twilight world, killing spirits and demons. It is the first ever Zelda game in which you control your sword and weapon motions using the wii remote, which makes it realistic. I bought it a year ago, but since then I have beaten it and traded it in, but I still have a good experience of it.

The controls are what set this game apart from the previous versions. To fight in sword combat you twirl and spin the wii remote in different sword motions, and to aim a bow or a slingshot you point your cursor ar the screen and tap the B button to fire. These controls just make the game so much more fun and enjoyable, also unlike many other wii games the different sword movements do not get mixed up and confusing, this works very well.

The graphics have also gained a huge performance boost, taking advantage of the superior wii graphics card over the gamecube's. They are very realistic and the lighting makes sure that they look almost as good as those on many ps3 games, and the colours contast very well.

The gameplay is great here. There are 3 modes of different gameplay here, normal, horseback and wolf. I think horseback is probably the most entertaining but unlike previous versions there is the wolf option, which makes it much more interesting. The sword play is excellent, with many different motions in combat, and the horseback is fast and action packed. The wolf mode is entertaining as well, there is not much combat in this mode, mostly the wolf has to surpass many physcological challenges.

This new Zelda is a brilliant new addition to the collection and definately a Wii classic in the making. It combines excellent gameplay and graphics with a great control system. It is no wonder that it is incredibly popular and was sold out for the first month after its release. If you own a Wii and have not yet bought it, then I suggest you do now, it is fantastic.
