Advantages: Great fun game for all ages
Disadvantages: Interactivity could put you in the game more
I remember nearly two years ago the forthcoming weeks to release of the wii i found that i wasnt interested so i never went through the pre order stages i figured if i was going to get one it would be a year after its release when the wii had some decent games. The day before its release i was in the local game shop with a friend and we was chattin to his cousin that works there and he was telling us that they had a wii set up in the back and its all good fun, so he let us through and we started playing through zelda. I got addicted to the game within minutes and this was somethin i thought a zelda game could never do again because the only other legend of zelda game ive played through start to finish is ocarina of time on the nintendo 64.
Well after spending most of the day on zelda i went home with a fresh mind and instantly wanted a nintendo wii the next day, i had only one problem the pre order list was almost 50 pages long and everywhere sold out within minutes of the release, i thought i was out of luck and after making a few calls to see if i could get my hands on one, my dad walked in with it as a christmas gift to me i had a sigh of relief and just couldnt wait until i could get my hands on zelda again.
anyway the game.. You play as Link and not zelda as most people seem to think. At first glance i thought the graphics was very outstanding for a console that has the weakest graphics out of all the next gen consoles, the game ran smoothly.
The big talk about the wii is the interactivity that the wiimote and the nunchuck give you and although this isnt the most physically demanding wii game you still get to swing everything around when your in the combat which can make for a few laughs when you see the expressions on peoples faces when they are going to town on monster.
The twighlight princess, A friend of links has been taken captive by the twighlight people and you must go and treck through the world of hyrule to try and find them, and when in the twighlight world you take the form of a black dog allowing you oto do things link normally cannot. You have to go through many dungeons and meet some usual races as you travel through. As ever the dungeons can get very challenging and searching for hidden treasures again can seem even more challenging. With a vast array of weapons and outfits to collect you really never get short of things to do in this game.
I have found that this game is the only game on the wii that ive managed to hold on to since its release because i just enjoy playing through it every so often and find that it still can become quite the challenge. I also like to time myself to see how quick i can complete the game in the hopes that one day i might even beat the record probably doubtful but you never know practice makes perfect.
Overall a great game for all ages to play and can rapidly become addictive because as the storyline unfolds it always leaves you with more questions than answers.
Summary: The legend of zelda a great game on the wii and will become a classic.
