Castaway but I didn't get carried away! (The Sims 2: Castaway (Wii))

Advantages: Nice graphics and good interaction with setting. Controls easy.

Disadvantages: Repetitive game play.

I have only ever played Sims on PC and was very excited to try this version on the Wii. At first I really enjoyed the game play and found the controls easily mastered. Your Sim has to work their way around the island and collect enough supplies and skills to progress onto harder tasks. If you made extra crew members on the original screen you get to meet up with them later on but I seemed to find it difficult to be in control of more than one person as they would be doing tasks elsewhere.

I managed to get to all the other islands but I have never finished the game, there may not be an end, i don't know! It is hard to work out what you need to do next so after hours of reptitive running around the islands, cutting down bamboo and talking to monkeys I tend to get fed up and don't go back to it for weeks so have to start again as I have forgotten what I have done. Maybe one day I will crack it but for now I will stay with the PC.

Summary: An enjoyable way to pass an hour but it didn't have me rushing back to the console
