Advantages: Exercise, Fun, Addictive

Disadvantages: Expensive

The WiiFit that is bought for the Wii is a brilliant invention on the part of Nintendo. It is a way to keep fit in the comfort and warmth of your own home. No more lengthy trips to the gym to keep yourself in the shape that your body deserves. No more morning runs that you keep telling yourself are good for you...even though you really, really hate them.

The WiiFit does everything, yoga, muscle work outs, aerobics and balance games. On each exercise you have a trainer to first tell you what to do. And then you do it with the trainer afterwards, whilst trying to keep your balance at the same time. You are graded on how well you do them, according to how much of your balance you can keep.

The game also measures your weight and BMI in accordance to the height you gave it when you first signed on and keeps a record of this in the form of graphs. It also works out your Wii Age by using a series of balance games and exercises, and the closer you get to the real age is the better.

All of the exercises or at least most of them are done using a balance board which you get with the game when you buy it, this makes for a slightly added cost to the game but is well worth it.

The whole experience of the game is exceptional, it is fun and healthy and it makes a change from playing computer games while sitting on your backside. This being my usual computer experience, it is a nice change. However much of an idiot you may feel when you look like a moron in front of friends who watch you failing miserably at one exercise or another.

Summary: Fun and exercise....not oxymorons
