Nintendo are targeting people into the world of gaming that have never shown an interest before with there forward thinking ideas. So when I heard about the Wii Fit I saw that this was a brilliant move by Nintendo and with the outstanding technology in the balance board I knew this was something I would be interested in.

The Wii fit can be a social event within the family as its is just so fun and funny and is a brilliant way of getting the whole family active in this time of TV addicts as the game cleverly hides the exercise in the fun and exhilarating games including Hoopla and Ski Jumping. I also like the way that you can mix the exercise between Aerobics, Muscle, Yoga and Balance as this combined with the fact that its made fun means that the time just fly's by and while it is likely not to be the perfect work out for an already fit person it is a perfect starting point for the strangers to the gym.

I believe that the games have been built very well and I especially like the fact that it tracks your weight over time and allows you to track it in the form of a chart and that it allows you to pin protect your account allowing you to keep your weight secret. One of the downsides is that the Wii fit program uses the BMI system that I believed to be misleading as it doesn't take into account for the weight of muscle.

In conclusion I believe that the Wii Fit system is revolutionary and should help with some activity in the generation of gamers but I do wonder about weather it would eventually become boring and tedious. So I would defiantly suggest this to anyone who has children who love game consoles and should really get more activity and it is even fun for adults to.
