Wii Fit (Wii)
Advantages: Many different exercises to choose from
Disadvantages: Can be time consuming going through menus
What a brilliant game! An amazing stroke of genius, capturing a wide range of people of different ages and interests.
Having had this game for around a year, I can easily say that it is the best £90.00 I have spent in a very long time. (I bought it with an accessory pack, skin and mat).
I began by using the games with friends, trying to beat one anothers ski jumping lengths! Who can header the most footballs etc etc. Although this was fun, the novelty runs off after a while, as it appears tso with any game. Then I moved on to the aerobic exersises, afterall this is why i wanted the wii fit - to keep fit! These were fun. Although I found jogging on the sopt rather difficult at times! The step aerobics a favourite of mine! Easy to do, with good directions and good sound effects. Hulahoops also gave my hips a good work out! Boy did I feel it the next day!
But generally I have used the wii fit to tone up. And I am happy to say that the results were great. I have noticed my hips and sides tone up considerably as with my stomach and legs. There are various different yoga exercises and muscle warmups to do to tone up various parts of your body.
I did a mixture of yoga and muscle stretches for abour 15 minutes 5 days a week and a year on the results are fab! (still am doing them!) Everyone is jealous of my toned up body and I tell them how I did it, even my 60 year old mum (who has never played a computer game in her life) wants one now! Shows you it appeals to such a wide audience.
Also its great that the daily test helps keep a track of your weight!
I love the fact that after having reached a certain number of minutes you get a bronze piggy, then a silver piggy then a gold piggy! (nearly reached the gold!) and also the fact that my trainer (male) his hair grows! hehe it's fab.
will, and have, recommended to anyone wanting to tone up and keep fit. Although I dont think it will be amazing on helping you lose a huge amount of weight.
The only thing I think of that can make it better is that you should be able to choose a sequence of exercises, like a workout program as I did it everyday and found it time consuming going in and out of the options to select the next exercise. but overall I give it 4 stars. Fab buy.
Summary: Great for those wanting to tone up, maybe not great for losing huge amounts of weight. Great fun.
