Advantages: great for making exercise fun

Disadvantages: time consuming to learn everything

I have borrowed the wii fit off my mum as I am trying to lose weight and after hearing alot of people rave about it I wanted to give it a go before purchasing one.

Personal experience:
I was really looking forward to using it to be honest I was a bit disappointed. It is very hard I think to do the games as the board is very sensitive and any shaky movements will let you down. You do have to have a lot of patience to stand and figure it out (which place to stand and move body part correctly etc otherwise you cant do any games because you will lose. Once you have this figured out it is more fun but you do have to have a bit of time I think to do it.
My partner did have patience though to practice which he did and the result was he enjoyed playing the games and was able to complete some.

Its very good to keep an eye on your weight and BMI which is what I mainly used it for everyday at the same time I would weigh in which was great to have at hand. It was until I got weighed by my doctor and I was half a stone lighter then the wii fit was telling me! (Thankfully not the other way round) This then put me off using if as I thought it would have been accurate.
My daughter who is nearly 3 enjoyed playing on this even though she cant do much she still finds it fun to watch the people move when she does.

Price:
Prices vary from shop to shop and you can now buy as a bundle package so tends to work out cheaper but you looking at about £60+ for one brand new. You get the game included too which is good as on there there is lots to do and play. Not only the BMI checker but also exercise routines-yoga and training moves for all different parts etc and lots of games. You unlock more things as you go along and make progress. You get to set up a log of your weight and set goals for yourself to lsoe pounds. You can have quite a few people saved on there so then each time you go onto it you log in. It also lets you have guests so they dont have to faff about setting up an account.

The Product:
It is quite heavy-doesnt look it but it is. It takes batteries but these seem to last us a while when using everyday. The board isnt that long or wide but it does take up quite a bit of space in our living room. The board has to connect wirelessly with you Wii so has to facing your Wii and cannot be miles away.

Summary: great for exercising bit more fun
