Wii Fit- a replacement for the gym??

Advantages: Keeps you fit and healthy
Disadvantages: B.M.I is not the most effective way to track your weight loss- muscle weighs more than fat.
Wii Fit is an excellent game developed by Nintendo. Originally designed to help people become more active without having to leave the comfort of their own homes, Wii Fit has certainly lived up to it's expectations.
When I first went onto the Wii Fit, I needed to design my little Mii character- spending a lot of time perfecting the shape of my face and colour of my hair, I felt finally satisfied that the Mii was the spitting image of myself. Stepping onto the Wii Fit board for the first time for my first body test, my poor little Mii suddently sported a belly sticking out of its top and had gone very round, due to the Wii Fit telling me that I was obsese (I felt more sorry for the Mii at this point than I did myself)
I picked a healthy weight loss of 2lb for in 2 weeks time and used the Wii between this time to work on my muscles and yoga. After the 2 weeks, I had lost 4lb. The Wii Fit told me off for losing weight too quickly.
I still enjoy going on the Wii Fit 2 years later- as I progressed through the activities I have unlocked more muscle routines, yoga positions, cardio exercises. The Wii Fit is a fantastic way of keeping active in your own home, whilst not even feeling like you are doing exercise.
The Balance board does require batteries and sits smartly by the TV. I would have normally recommended this game to anybody who is young and wants to get fit, but when my 70 year old Grandma bought one recently to "sort out those bingo wings" I would honestly recommend this game to anybody to keep an active, healthy lifestyle from the comfort of your own living room.
Summary: A fantastic game to keep active!
