Advantages: Easy to use for all the family, good introduction to the Wii

Disadvantages: Not many games, games get boring quickly.

I bought Wii play after I had played several other games for the Wii and found myself rather disappointed. The game starts off with several mini games and as you play each game it unlocks more up until you have 9 in total. The games themselves are quite fun, featuring shooting UFOs, playing table tennis and even racing cows, but they're not really fun for long.

With only nine games the game itself gets boring really quickly, and I think the main attraction of this game is to introduce someone who's new to the Wii and show them how to use the controls and get them used to it.

Also, this game is mainly intended for more than one player and is even more boring if you're playing by yourself. However, its good fun for all the family and most of the games are easy enough for anyone to play, from 5 years old to 90 years old.

The game normally comes bundled with a Wii remote, and as these normally cost £35, Wii Play is still good value at £40 as you get the game itself for £5.

Overall, if this is the first game you're buying for the Wii then you'll probably find it good fun for about half an hour, and its definitely a good one to use to introduce people to playing the Wii for the first time. Unfortunately after that it will probably gather dust, as it doesn't really have much of a lifespan.

Summary: Good game for Wii newbies.
