As this is my first review on a game for the Wii, and as I hope to do many more, I shall start with a bit of background to my decision to purchase the console itself. It is fair to say I have been slacking when it comes to hardcore gaming. Fun for all the family. This really is a game that 8 to 80 year olds can play. We got this game as part of the package when we bought our Nintendo Wii and it has been great. On Easter day we had a bowling tournament with 8 people, including my nephews and their grandmother and she beat us all! Wii sports has 5 games you can choose from, tennis, baseball, bowling, golf and boxing. Wii Sports, in itself, was just the beginning for the Nintendo Wii's games. In fact, it was fully included along with the console. Motion control now came into games, which needed a lot of new ideas from peoples' minds. So, does the first Wii game push the console in the right direction? We'll see now. Wii sports is the perfect company for your brand new wii console and will also help to teach you to use the revolutionary new wii remote which senses motion in 3 dimensions. Best of all its free...sort of. The game comes in a little blue card cover with the rest of your wii console so it is a freebie but im sure a few pence from each console say go to its costs. This is probably one of the first games people play on the wii and therefore their first impression of the new console, and what a great impression it makes. I have owned Wii sports for aout 6 months now and can honestly say i am still hooked. Whether i am training on my own, playing my son or bringing it out at a family party the game has never ceased to amaze. This game includes five games which are - boxing, bowling, golf, baseball and tennis. I'll give a short opinion on each one. Boxing - Great fun for all the family.
