Advantages: Cheap/free, Enjoyable, replayability, great for multiplayer

Disadvantages: none

Wii sports is the perfect company for your brand new wii console and will also help to teach you to use the revolutionary new wii remote which senses motion in 3 dimensions. Best of all its free...sort of.

The game comes in a little blue card cover with the rest of your wii console so it is a freebie but im sure a few pence from each console say go to its costs. This is probably one of the first games people play on the wii and therefore their first impression of the new console, and what a great impression it makes. Even though the graphics might not be as good as on the ps3 and xbox 360 this game is just simply fun. Or to be more correct very very very very fun if not more fun than that.

The Game includes five seperate mini games:

~~~Tennis~~~
In this game all you require is the wiimote as the computer moves your players around for however this is still very fun and can become quite challenging as the levels get higher. The only control in this game is the movement of the controller and no button presses.
~~~Golf~~~
Golf where to start, well this game is basically like real golf you swing the wii remote like a club to hit the ball and the power depends on the speed with which you swing the remote. The only other button required in this game is the d-pad on top of the remote to move the direction of your shot.

~~~Baseball~~~
Again just like real life when batting and the distance you hit the ball depends on the speed of the club and your timing. However when pitching you can press different buttons on the wii remote to make the ball curve or drop.
~~~Boxing~~~
This is the only game that requires the nunchuk supplied with your console, the nunchuck is a slimmed down version of the wii remote with the same motion sensing technology. So you probably guessed it grab the remote in one hand the nunchuk in the other and punch the air, and hopefully youll get a KO on screen.

~~~Bowling~~~
One of the best wii sports games, you control the ball by swinging the wii mote backwars and then forwards like you would a bowling ball and the speed of the ball changes with the speed of the remote. You can also move the direction and angle of the bowling ball with the d-pad as in golf. On top of all this bowling allows you to swerve the ball by twisting the remote in your hand just before you let go of the ball.
The game also includes something called training. This is a collection of mini-games three for each of the sports on the game. These allow you to hone your skills aswell as well as win medals from bronze to platinum. The final part of the game is called wii fit. This is something you can do once a day and involves a collection of the mini-games from training, depending on how well you do in them it will give you your wii age for that day ranging from 20 to 80 years old.
Overall this game is simply brilliant especially due to the fact you get it free with the cheapest next-gen games console available and on top of that it is one of the best games on the wii platform. This game will soon wet your appetite for wii and you'll be dragged in and addicted.
Summary: Share the wii around play wii sports and you wont regret it
I absolutely love this!
I love my Wii so much and can't believe that the freebie game that came with it is still one of my favourites!
I love the golf and tennis games, but the rest fell a bit flat for me.
