Advantages: Fun, Keeps you actice, Free
Disadvantages: None
Wii Sports is a game for the Nintendo Wii it is a quality game and the best thing is it comes free with every Wii and it is really good for a free game it is one of the best games I have ever been on, on the Wii. Wii Sports is a Sports game (Obviously) it has 5 different sports Tennis, Baseball, Bowling, Golf and Boxing on the sports the better you get the harder the computer will be to defeat when you reach 1000 you will get pro level at the sport, it also has Training and Fitness I will tell you a bit about all of them starting with Tennis.
~~~Tennis~~~
In Tennis you have two players on each team you control both of them yourself and play against the computer, the computer moves your Mii around for you so you just have to swing when you swing both of your players swing so if its at the front it will hit the ball with your front Mii. The game is about timing mostly on training it teaches you how to time your swing and aim the ball. Overall I would say tennis is a good game but you should be able to move you Mii around yourself it would make it a bit better. I would give it a 4 / 5.
~~~Baseball~~~
In Baseball you play with your Mii's that you have created and then some random ones that the computer choose for you and you have to play against a team of computers. At first it is pretty easy but in my opinion it is pretty boring but it is alright, First you have to be the batter this is easy you just have to swing when the ball comes towards you but you have to get the timing right which is pretty hard my trick is swing when the ball is at the pitcher's feet but this does not always work, second you have to pitch this is really easy you just have to throw the ball over arm like a cricket bowler would. The aim of the game is to beat the other team you do not have to run or anything you just have to hit the ball and aim for a homerun to do this you have to get the right timing and hit the ball between the two yellow markers that are on there this will become obvious when you get on. Overall it is an alright game but I think it is a bit boring and slow. I would give it a 2 / 5.
~~~Bowling~~~
Bowling is pretty much the same as normal bowling you just have to throw the bowling ball down the lane and try to get a strike, my technique is go to the edge of the lane and bowl it with as much spin as possible to do spin simply twist your wrist when you throw it my technique seems to do alright get quite a few strikes but not always mostly spare's. Overall bowling is a good game. I would give it a 3 / 5.
~~~Golf~~~
Golf is quite good in golf you can either play 3 hole course Beginner Intermediate And Expert or you can do a 9 hole course. It is fairly simple it has a power thing that helps you there is a little map with a line and dots and there is a power bar with dots so you have to hit it on the right dot to get the distance you want, you can have as many practice swings as you want but when you want to take your shot hold A and don't let go until you have took your shot. If you hit it too hard it will turn it off a bit and you might go out of bounds or something so be careful of that there is also Wind sometimes it tell you in the top right corner if there is any wind or how much wind there is, if the arrow telling you which way the wind is going is blue it means not much wind if it is red it means lots of wind so just aim it a bit the opposite way to the wind and it is easy. Overall it's a good game. I would give it 4 / 5.
~~~Boxing~~~
Boxing has got to be my favourite because it is the most challenging, at first boxing is easy you just fight a few guys that don't really punch back they get the odd punch in but they are rubbish so you just fight them till you KO (KNOCK OUT) them. But it starts to get hard when you get better they start to block your punches and dodge a bit the training helps to teach you how to do that but sometimes I got really annoyed with it because I thought it was cheating me out because I got them down 4 times but they only got me down twice and I got knocked out, and I kept losing but then I got bored so I stopped for a bit then played again another day I got angry and just stood there letting him punch me till he stood up straight then I did loads of punches and I knocked him out on his first down I realised it's the combo that KO's them not the amount of times they have been down and I kept doing the same just standing there letting him stand straight so I could get some punches in that once helped me the most so you could use that technique if you want or find your own technique. When you get pro level you unlock silver gloves you can use to box with normally you get red or blue gloves. Overall this is my favourite game. I would give it a 5 / 5.
~~~Training and Fitness~~~
Ill start with training on training there is 3 training things for each game so overall there are 15 training options to choose from, The 3 Tennis ones are Returning Balls you just have to hit the ball back, Timing your swing on this there is a orange target you just have to hit it, Target practice there is a small circle target on the wall you have to hit it and smash it and when you smash it another one comes, Baseball ones are Hitting home runs, swing control and batting practice, Bowling is picking up spares, power throws and spin control. Golf are Putting, Hitting the green and target practice, Boxing are Working the bag, dodging and throwing punches. Now Fitness, on fitness they give you 3 of the training things to do and then depending on how good you do you get a Fitness age to be honest its nothing to do with how fit you are its just how good you are on the Wii so the more practice you get the younger fitness age you will get, the best you can get is 20 and the worst 80 my best is 23 so far. Overall I would give them both a 5 / 5 because training is really fun and fitness is good trying to beat your old fitness age.
Overall this is a really good game and since it is free it makes it even better.
Summary: Really good game for the wii
