Advantages: free, good intro
Disadvantages: basic
Wii sports comes as standard with all new wii consoles.
Its a compilation of several sporting games which are boxing, bowling, golf, baseball and tennis.
The games are fairly basic with quite a short lifespan, however they are not designed for longevity they are made and given with the wii console to get people accustomed to the wii remote. This is because the wii is different to every other console relying not on buttons and thumsticks but with movements of the body. These set of games are to show and teach people the basics of the new console.
Saying this these games are fun enough.I still find myself coming back to play the occasional game of golf.
In the games you use your wii characters which you create for your wii. The graphics are fairly basic taking a cartoon approach as with most wii games.
All of the games are fairly fun, but my personal favourite is the golf. Which provides you with a varied 9 hole course. Its my favourite as it is in my opinion the funnest and takes the most skill. Talking to most people their favourite is the tennis, which takes doubles format. Boxing requires both remotes to be moved in boxing motion. Baseball you take it in turns batting and pitching. Ten pin bowling is simple enough. All the games are controlled by using similar motions to that of the real sport.
All the games you can have 2 players; and bowling and golf can have you and 3 friends playing at once.
This game is a good varied introduction to the world of wii and for free you cant really complain.
Summary: well it comes free for the wii so u cant complain
